Is apyUSD (APYUSD) Halal or Haram?

Screening incomplete — we will not issue a ruling

We were unable to establish enough verifiable information about apyUSD to complete our 27-point Shariah screening, so we are not issuing a halal, haram, or mashbooh verdict. Publishing a confident score built on unverifiable information would be worse than publishing nothing.

What we could not establish: Launch Fairness, Token Distribution, Speculation Controls, Asset Backing, Mechanism Type, Islamic Contract Classification, and 3 other criteria.

What this means for a Muslim investor

The absence of information is not neutral. Gharar (excessive uncertainty) is one of the three principles our methodology screens for, and an asset whose team, audits, treasury and token distribution cannot be verified from any public source is, by definition, exhibiting it. A project that cannot be researched is a project that cannot be assessed — and an asset you cannot assess is one you cannot knowingly consent to the risks of.

We would treat that as a reason for caution in itself, independent of any score.

If you can help us verify Launch Fairness, Token Distribution, Speculation Controls, Asset Backing, Mechanism Type, Islamic Contract Classification, or the 3 other unresolved criteria for apyUSD — documentation, disclosures, or any other verifiable source — send it to us and we will re-screen. We only need the gaps listed above; there's no need to resend anything this screening already established.
