Assalamu alaikum, i saw this company that brands itself as a portfolio manager, accounting and analytics tool for crypto. This tool allows you to view dashboards, history balances, statistics and various other things for crypto assets. I checked their opensource code and found that among various assets and exchanges, they also support AAVE. Would it be hahal to work with this company given that you may be asked to implement features that involve haram crypto coins like AAVE? JazakaAallahu khair
I would highly appreciate if you can also point me to a resource that guides working in blockchain space in general
Walaikum salam. This is a bit like the question of working in a bank. Not exactly the same since the core of what you are looking at is an analytics tool/ dashboard that i assume aggregates data and visualises it, which is what I guess customers are paying for.
When you say support, do you mean they also pull data from AAVE? The details around this and how the company itself makes money are crucial in establishing if the income may be permissable. The other thing to look at is the role itself, does the role enable haram activities/ riba etc or not.
You should find your answers by understanding these details and looking at fatwas like https://islamqa.org/hanafi/daruliftaa/7814/working-at-a-bank/
hope that helps
