Modest Fashion Designer Launches NFTs

Fashion Cults Limited, launched in 2020 by Bangladeshi Afroja Khatun has gone into digital fashion with the launch of an NFT collection now available on OpenSea. Her modest fashion NFTs are on OpenSea, a peer-to-peer marketplace for non-fungible tokens, rare digital items.

NFTs are digital assets whose ownership and authenticity are recorded and varified on the blockchain.

OpenSea recorded its highest monthly trading volume so far at $4.65B, up by almost 30% compared to previous high in August 2021. They also raised a Series C funding round valueing the company at a staggering $13B.

Muslim speding on clothing and accessories, in particular the hijab, will reach $300B by the year 2024.
